The closing ceremony of the gala was held in the presence of Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed-Abbas Salehi at the International Conferences Hall of Tehran’s Milad Tower on Wednesday.

Considering the safety protocols of the coronavirus era, a number of Iranian cineastes, as well as some of the cast and crew members of the competing movies took part in the ceremony.‘Yadoo’ by Mehdi Jafari won some of the most important awards, including the Best Film, the Best Director, and the Best Cinematography.

Roya Afshar won the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her role in ‘Mother’ and the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role went to Reza Attaran for his appearance in ‘Roshan’.

The festival coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran every year.

The 39th edition of the FFF was held on January 31-February 10, 2021.
